61-year-old Om Bassem broke gender stereotypes by choosing a profession that is male dominated. She is a plumber and her skills have made her popular in Cairo. She started working after divorce and she wanted to do a job that involved less working hours, getting money on a daily basis and most importantly not working for anyone else.
